Who you were before the outbreak shapes where you start. A firefighter. A teacher. A nurse. A bus driver. A cop. Different skills, different attributes, different odds. But the apocalypse doesn't care what you were — you survive by who you become.

Every skill is built the hard way, and every lesson costs something. Scattered across the town are the keepsakes of those who learned too late. If you're lucky, what they left behind — books, blueprints, maps, journals — will keep you from making the same mistakes. But the survivor you are on day thirty might not recognize who you were on day one.

Day one, you found a shotgun. Day two, you outran a horde. Day four, you met another survivor. Day ten, you traded your jacket for a bowl of soup. Day sixteen, you hear marauders outside the gas station — you've already fired your last shell.

On the road to Terminus, nothing is free. Every move, every search, every fight costs something. Your body is a resource, and it won't last forever. Hunger, thirst, fatigue, disease — time will kill you before the dead even get the chance. But the dead aren't your only threat.

Explore, Fight, or Disappear

The world you knew is dead. Scour what's left of it for everything you need to survive. Every block, every building, every home is a choice to make — what you might find versus what you're willing to lose by stepping inside. Scavenge an apartment for the can of beans on someone's kitchen counter, or step into a warehouse you won't walk out of. Daylight lets you see what's coming. Night takes that away.

Stick to the shadows. Hold your breath as a convoy passes. Trade what little you have for what you need. And remember, everyone out there wants to survive just as badly as you do.

Plant, Build, Endure

To make it to Terminus, you'll have to learn to craft what you need from what the dead left behind. Tools, weapons, traps, and medicine. Stripped wire becomes a snare. Bedsheets become bandages. A bathtub becomes a planter. Plant gardens, board up windows, brew what you can't find on a shelf. The world isn't coming back. But four walls and an iron door can make a small one — yours, until you need to leave it for the Terminus.

Is it a sequel? Do I need the first game?

It's a standalone sequel — you don't need the original to play. Fans of the first game will recognize the series' survival core, rebuilt with new visuals, systems, and a new world.

Planned localization covers English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, and German. The final language list will be confirmed closer to launch.
